GangsterZ Comic #2
Mafia 2 ? No... The Mafia Graphic Comic 2
Ever since the introduction of the GangsterZ Comic people have been asking me if there will be another Mafia inspired comic made ?
Well... it has always been my intention to make another, people seemed to really like the first one and i did enjoy making it so why not ?
I do have a story in mind, it has a begining, a middle and an end and i have done some work on it... all be it a while back,
So where is it ? the comic is about half way done, or at least half the pages are done, only the speech bubbles and text needs to be added at this stage,
the trouble is it's been about half way done for a long time now as i rarely find the time or the mood to sit and work on it further...
Anyhow just to let everyone know i will catch up with it one day soon as i'm sure when Mafia 2 comes out it will inspire me into picking it up again were i left off...
every now and then i tell myself i must get on with it and get it finished, there are people out there who want me to and i know i want to for myself so it will happen sometime,
in the meantime... below is the cover i am thinking of using on GangsterZ Comic #2, it's based on an old crime comic of times gone by, some people might recognise a likeness somewhere on there.
btw... the cover might change in some small detail but the title won't.
It'll be Better Late Than Never... excuse the pun !

GangsterZ Comic
The GangsterZ Comic basicaly is just my own idea of a gangster comic and was made back in early 2005 using in game screen shots from the award winning game Mafia, adapting images from a combination of screen shots, editing and then filtering them in Photoshop to give an overall comic book look.
Having a passion for the game Mafia and all things 'Gangsterish'...
the idea to make a comic came to me after reading the graphic novel
'Road to Perdition' by Max Allan Collins, a great novel and a great film with exceptional drawings, (oh if i could only draw for real)... there-in lies my problem, i have no artistic talent what so-ever and i can't draw to save my life, btw... i'm not too good in photoshop either so i don't expect it to appeal to everyone, having said that the comic seemed to be well received in the Mafia community.
In early November 2005 i was contacted by some-one from the UK ITV Network with regards to some of the images from the comic being used on a TV show, after several e-mails between ITV/Take2 and myself for the copyright and legal purposes, on 26th November 2005 the show 'Movie Music Mania' went out on ITV at peek-time viewing, several images from the comic were used to introduce the Dusty Springfield song "Son of a Preacherman" from the popular movie Pulp Fiction starring John Travolta, on the show the song was sung by Natasha Hamilton.
Despite the images only appearing briefly in the intro it was nice to know some-one appreciated my comic enough to use some of the images on maintsream TV, i know it's not much but this is my only claim to fame LoL.
